Flash reprogramming is a method of restoring the OE specifications for the electronic control module/control module OBDII units. The prom chip is on the board of the computer and is electronically updated. Flash reprogramming allows you to fix known drivability problems for a specific application by electronically updating the codes. Sometimes this can improve engine performance. Most applications after 1995 require Flash Reprogramming.
